Phison Electronics US Office is growing rapidly, scaling from a focused engineering team toward a mid-sized organization of 100–200 employees. As we grow, our IT infrastructure, security posture, and business processes need to mature to match. We are looking for a Lead IT Engineer to take ownership of that transformation — building our IT function from the ground up, establishing best practices across a mixed Windows, Mac, and Linux environment, and assembling the team to sustain it.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own and modernize Phison’s IT infrastructure end-to-end – network, endpoints, and identity with a focus on-premises over cloud, leveraging our AI Deployment Storage platform – establishing standards fit for a rapidly scaling organization.
• Lead device management rollout across Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints, enforcing consistent configuration, patching, and compliance across the fleet.
• Define and implement a security and compliance framework covering access control, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and incident response aligned to industry best practices.
• Redesign and optimize network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and segmentation to support a growing headcount and increasingly distributed workforce.
• Identify and drive business process automation opportunities — streamlining IT workflows, onboarding/offboarding, SaaS provisioning, and cross-departmental processes using appropriate tooling.
• Hire, mentor, and build out the IT team from scratch, establishing support tiers, escalation processes, and a culture of proactive rather than reactive IT operations.
• Manage vendor relationships, licensing, procurement, and IT budget as the function scales.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 7+ years of IT engineering experience in a corporate environment, and experience leading or growing a technical team, whether through a formal management title or by driving cross-functional delivery, mentoring, or project leadership.
• Hands-on expertise managing mixed-OS environments — Windows (Active Directory, Intune or SCCM), macOS (Intune or Jamf), and Linux (Intune for Ubuntu/RHEL).
• Proven experience designing and implementing a security and compliance program — including endpoint protection, IAM, MFA, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
• Solid network engineering fundamentals: LAN/WAN architecture, firewall management, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi infrastructure at office scale.
• Demonstrated experience driving business process automation using tools such as Rippling or custom scripting to reduce manual IT overhead.
• Track record of building or restructuring an IT function during a period of organizational growth, not just maintaining an existing one.

DESIRABLE

Any of the following will strengthen your application:

• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust network architecture principles.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and systems management.
• Background in a technology company or hardware/semiconductor environment.
• Experience managing IT for a distributed or international workforce.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $140K–$200K
Compensation ranges reflect base salary, final compensation will be determined in good faith based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, specialized skills, education, and geographic location. Candidates in certain markets may fall outside the range listed. This range reflects base pay only and does not include potential bonuses or our comprehensive benefits.
